If there’s one thing Bavarians love, it’s quality food and beer – and preferably lots of it! For the same reason it’s easy to find a good restaurant in Munich; it can actually be quite hard to choose! Here’s our own 5 favorites offering both local and international cuisine.
As mentioned in my previous article about Munich, Dallmayr is a genuine institution in the city. It has been dominating the food scene here for more than 250 years, and millions of people visit the popular gourmet food shop every year. But a shop isn’t actually the only thing Dallmayr is famous for. On first floor guests can enjoy a first-class lunch or dinner created by Michelin-starred chef Diethard Urbansky. The cuisine, which is light and modern, sophistically combines well-known classics with a twist of Bavaria. It’s not typical local food, but it’s an experience which shouldn’t be overlooked when visiting Munich!
