Nice is nice. Actually better than nice. Every inch of it is awesome. I am talking about the most beautiful and popular Mediterranean city along Côte d’azur. We booked our holidays in Côte d’azur to celebrate our wedding anniversary in March, when the weather god is almost cruel on us sending snows and hailstorms our way in UK. But Nice is different. It welcomed us with warmth and sunshine and 17 degree C. Not bad huh! Not a beach weather, but warm enough to see around the city.

Nice cuddles the most impressive Mediterranean coastline and boasts of not just 1, but almost 30 crystal azure beaches. While the city itself is charming, the warm Mediterranean climate makes it the most compulsive beach holiday destination throughout the year. Although the city gets soaked with tourists during summer, you can still enjoy the sun during winter and early spring. Here are our top recommendations on what to do and enjoy in this coastal French city. 

There is an impressive rail network that connects Nice to many French cities. A TGV from Paris to Nice takes roughly 6 hours. Alternatively, Nice’s Cote d’Azur Airport is the third largest airport in France and has numerous flights that connects to the rest of the world. Nice Airport to town centre is only 7.5 kms and there are bus services that connects to airport from old town. The duration of the rides are 35 minutes.
