For upmarket shopping, go to King Street. This classy part of the city houses such swish brands as Hermès, Whistles, Hugo Boss, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein jeans. One place you definitely shouldn't miss during your shopping trip is Manchester Arndale, the largest inner-city shopping center in the United Kingdom. This large retail center is home to around 240 shops and major department stores, and among the familiar high street names are Boots, Argos, Monsoon and value store Poundland. You can buy just about everything under the sun here, including ladies fashions, electronic goods, jewelry, accessories, toys, furniture and sporting equipment.
If you need to refuel during your Arndale shopping expedition, there is a food court featuring a number of fast-food and casual dining restaurants. There is seating for approximately 800 hungry diners.
