Bur Dubai Shoppping Walk, Dubai

Bur Dubai Shoppping Walk (Self Guided), Dubai

Discover some great bargains and fascinating foods and clothes when you go shopping among the souks and streets of the Bur Dubai area. Al Fahidi Street is effectively the district’s high street and it is where you will find a rich mix of shops, selling such items as Indian clothes, jewelry, CDs, DVDs and mobile phones.

There are also many restaurants lining the thoroughfare, including those specializing in Indian, Lebanese and Japanese cuisines as well as fast food options. A particularly good time to visit the street is in the evening. When the sun has gone down the sidewalks are bathed in the reflected glow of neon lights and locals and visitors mill around.

Bur Dubai also draws the bargain-hunting crowds to the Textile Souk, which is also known as the Old Souk. It consists of a long line of traditional sandstone homes which are cooled by rooftop wind towers. Among the plethora of stalls and shops, you will find a vast range of fabrics such as silk, wool, cashmere and cotton, as well as clothes, slippers, souvenirs and many other items for sale. Wander through the streets surrounding the souk for electronics and camera stores and cheap Asian shops with their colossal assortments of goods.
