Even though American Folk Art and Framing does not own much space, it strives to promote the most expressive and fascinating works of art representing modern Southern folk art. The gallery encourages self-taught artists to bring out their craftsmanship and share it with the curious people of the city of Asheville. Here, one will see stunning paintings, pottery and sculptures bearing various folk motives. Everybody is encouraged to come daily from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 6pm, and Sundays from noon to 5pm.

2) Haen Gallery

This incredibly spacious gallery displays contemporary paintings tastefully arranged within its exhibition area. Haen Gallery has works by artists such as Clayton Santiago, Stephen Pentak, Lennon Michalski, etc. One can contemplate these artistic treasures on Monday till Saturday: 10am-6pm; Sunday: 12pm-5pm.
Blue Spiral 1

3) Blue Spiral 1

Blue Spiral 1 is a three-storey, 14,000 sq. ft. “treasure-box”, where the most exquisite works created by talents of the Southeast dwell. Its interior features a perfect environment for objects of art, which here at Blue Spiral 1 are quite diverse. Since 1991, the year when the gallery opened, it has organized various exhibitions; today it holds over 15 annually. These exhibits display items of fine art, two-dimensional works and paintings. Blue Spiral 1 is open Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 6pm and Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.

Bender Gallery is a unique venue exhibiting gorgeous contemporary glass art, featuring interesting shapes and attractive colors. Artists such as Mark Abildgaard, Dan Neil Barnes and Charles Bartholf display their works here at Asheville’s best glass art gallery. Bender is open Monday through Saturday between 10am and 6pm, Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.

Ariel Gallery began its journey into the world of contemporary art in 2002, just around the time when artist-owned galleries were blooming in the city of Asheville. Open seven days a week from 10:30 am till 5:30 pm, this prosperous gallery is unique in its welcoming atmosphere and also in its diverse collection, which comprises elements made of ceramics, glass, fiber and wood.

At Asheville Gallery of Art artists share their experience and feelings with the audience through their magnificent work. Woolworth Walk features a 20,000 sq. ft. exhibition area, displaying works of art by over 150 artists and artisans. Everybody who has an eye for unique fine art will pick up on the original viewpoints of the displayed artists. The beautiful crafts, decorative arts, furnishings, jewelry and photography are presented to delight visitors and at the same time to promote and support arts in Asheville. Woolworth is open Monday through Thursday from 11am to 6pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 7pm and Sundays between 11am and 5pm.
