It is located in the middle of the Circles Neighborhood on the West of Santa Cruz, California, and it considers itself the only circle of grace in a fragmented world. Nowadays, Calvary Church has grown and reached out to the surrounding area and to the entire community of Santa Cruz.

Prophet Elias Church, which has an auditorium and a city hall, is situated near the central library. The idea of foundation became a reality in 1982 and it is where they are located today, at 223 Church Street. Prophet Elias has grown and prospered due to the effort and help of its priests and parishioners. The church serves the community as a central meeting place and has the mission to bring all families together for spirituality and social events. Today, the building is renovated and they have added new rooms, a courtyard, a Mediterranean garden and a new kitchen. Their parish consists of 100 religious families and continues to grow.

The Santa Cruz Zen Center was founded in 1971 with the help of Kobun Chino-Roshi and his students. The current Abbot, Katherine Thanas, trained the members for more than 20 years at the San Francisco Zen Center. The Center is maintained thanks to the financial support of volunteers, members and friends. The purpose of Santa Cruz Zen Center is to bear truth about the teachings of the Buddha. They also have meditations, classes and lectures for every family.
Holy Cross Church

In 1769, an expedition set up a cross at the San Lorenzo River and called the area Santa Cruz, meaning "Holy Cross" in Spanish. Till 1845, it was a cornerstone after which emerged the idea to replace the mission church with a wooden one. But the construction of the present brick gothic church marks the end of the transformation from Mission Santa Cruz to Holy Cross Parish. In 1862, the first educational institution in the parish, called Holy Cross School, was opened. Holy Cross is not just a beautiful building; above all else, Holy Cross means community, happy family and service to other members and especially to God.
