1) Dr. Walter Kennedy House
Dr. Walter Kennedy was a famous local optometrist. His house was built in 1926 in the Mediterranean Revival style which was designed by James Baum. The house has a separate servant's residence as well as a separate garage. Added to the National Register in 1994, this is a famous place commonly visited by tourists.
2) F. A. DeCanizares Residence
The F. A. De Canizares Residence started as a wooden structure. Later on, in 1925, it was moved to 1215 North Palm Avenue and was redesigned by Thomas Reed Martin. It features a Mediterranean Revival style.
3) Burns Realty Company - Karl Bickel House
The Karl Bickel House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It is in the Mediterranean Revival style, has a main center piece with two levels and two one-level wings. Initially it was owned by a real estate company, but later on it was changed into a household.
4) Dr. Joseph Halton House
Dr. Joseph Halton House is located on Coconut Avenue and was built in 1910 by Joseph S. Maus. It boasts a Transitional Queen Anne style with two floors and an artificial stone front. It is a good example of the earliest houses to make heavy use of artificial stone.
5) Leonard Reid House
Added to the National Register in 2002, Leonard Reid House is located on 1435 7th Street in Sarasota. The house features one level and is in the Prairie School design.
