Located in the center of town, along Lake Kazan, Millennium Park was founded in 2005 during the city’s millennial celebration. At the entrance, welcoming guests, are bronze dragon statues called Zilants. Millenium Park is the perfect place to relax in the bustling city center.

5) Tatar State Puppet Theater Ekiyat (must see)

The Tatar State Puppet Theater Ekiyat, founded in 1935, is one of Kazan’s oldest theaters. Originally called the First State International Puppet Theater, it is housed in the building of a former merchant assembly. From 1927 to 1930 the building was used as the Tatar Culture Center. Its repertoire includes plays in Russian and Tatar, featuring performances with historical and contemporary themes.

Translated from the Tatar language as “Native Village,” Tugan Avylym is a large restaurant and entertainment complex opened on August 26, 2005, Kazan’s millennial celebration. It features a restaurant, bistro and pancake bar offering a wide variety of traditional Tatar food, as well as a casino, bowling alley, billiards hall, dance floor and the Melnitsa boutique. Also available is the splendid Children’s Café that your kids will surely love.
