Colonel Dickson, a British political agent, resided in this thirty-room home. It is now a cultural center displaying works of art, such as portraits of the colonel himself and his family.

Seif Palace is a unique example of architecture in Kuwait. This monument dates back to 1880. There are original Islamic mosaics and historic artifacts inside the palace. Its most prominent feature is the watch tower with blue tiles and a gold-plated roof.

The Sadu House was founded in order to preserve Bedouin crafts. In this house you will see woven textiles and wall hangings, which are sewn with special geometric figures from colored wool. It also contains Bedouin pottery and other items which reflect the ancient life of Kuwait.

Bayt Al-Badr is another old house located next to the Al-Sadu house of Bedouin culture. This house dates back to 1838. You will see local art represented in the handicrafts of ancient Kuwait. It is like a time capsule of those remote traditions. The main feature of the house is its famous front doors.

The National Museum of Kuwait contains precious and diverse collections related to the country’s culture and history. On display here you can find the Al Sabah collection of Islamic art. Exhibitions include pearl relics, archaeological finds from the Failaka Islands, ones dedicated to the wars with Iraq and many others. The museum also contains a planetarium.

Dar Al Funoon Art Gallery, founded in 1993, displays contemporary Arab art and Arabic calligraphy. Among its exhibitions is a special silk collection.
