Artelier Contemporary, situated in Graz, is an art gallery under the stewardship of Petra Schilcher since 2008. It's renowned for its dynamic and ever-evolving contemporary exhibition lineup, covering various art forms like paintings, objects, editions, photographs, and installations. By showcasing the works of both local and international artists, Artelier Contemporary has firmly established itself as a pivotal platform for contemporary art.

The gallery's origins date back to 1985 when it was first established as Galerie & Edition Artelier by Ralph Schilcher and Petra Schilcher. From its inception, the gallery stood out as a producer and publisher, specializing in limited art editions. Over the years, it has produced over 500 limited edition artworks, gaining recognition and finding their way into prestigious collections worldwide, including MoMA in New York and the Albertina in Vienna.

Artelier Contemporary has not only contributed significantly to the art world through its exhibitions but also by collaborating with acclaimed artists like Vito Acconci, Angela Bulloch, Eliska Bartek, Axel Huber, Martin Guttmann, Norbert Brunner, Franz Graf, and many others. The gallery has expanded its publishing offerings to over 600 editions, encompassing various media such as multiples, folders, CDs, videos, and book objects.

With its dedication to exhibiting editions and unique pieces both within its own space and in partnership with public and private collections, art associations, and museums, Artelier Contemporary plays a vital role in promoting and nurturing contemporary art.
