Bangabandhu Military Museum, Dhaka

The Bangabandhu Military Museum was established in 1987 and relocated to its current site at Bijoy Sarani in 1999. This museum, under the administration of the Bangladesh Army, offers a comprehensive insight into the country's military prowess.

With collections ranging from weaponry and vehicles to success stories of valor, the museum serves as a vital educational resource, attracting visitors of all ages, particularly the youth. Designed by a consortium of architectural firms, including Ali Imam, Bayejid Mahbub Khondker, Nakshabid Architects, Design Work Group, and Mukta Dinwiddie Maclaren Architects, the museum boasts an impressive interior and exterior.

Divided into six sections, each dedicated to different branches of the military, the museum provides a structured exploration of Bangladesh's military history. Noteworthy is the "Toshakhana Jadughor," a museum within the museum, showcasing gifts and awards received by prominent figures of the country. Its centerpiece sculpture and innovative use of technology, including augmented reality, interactive displays, virtual reality, and holograms, enhance the visitor experience, making it both informative and engaging.
