BancFirst Tower, Oklahoma City
BancFirst Tower is a landmark skyscraper, rising across 36 floors, making it the city's second-tallest building. Built in 1971 to serve as a prominent banking headquarters, the tower has undergone several ownership and branding changes over the years before receiving its current name. The tower offers over 500,000 square feet of office space, serviced by ten elevators, and housing an exclusive private club near its top floors.
After renovations in 2020, nearly 4,000 panes of single-pane glass were replaced with energy-efficient blue-tinted glazing, giving the tower a sleek, modern look. The makeover also introduced sculptural glass "lanterns," a public plaza with greenery and seating, and upgraded lighting that can change to mark events or celebrate sports.
The lobby now features a café and local art displays, while the underground concourse connects directly to the city’s pedestrian network and houses a post office and eateries.
