G. Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre, Kazan
The G. Kamal Tatar Theater, one of Kazan’s greatest national theaters, opened its doors on December 22, 1906. Notable for featuring the first Tatar play, in 1986 the theater moved to a new building on the shore of Lake Qaban. Presently it has two halls, featuring a troupe of 50 performers.
