Located in Knoxville, the Heska Amuna Synagogue is a historic Jewish house of worship that was founded in 1890. It is one of the oldest continuously active synagogues in the American South and was established by a small group of Jewish immigrants who settled in the city during the late 19th century.

The current synagogue, situated on Kingston Pike Road and built in 1960, boasts a typical Mid-Century Modern style characterized by an austere geometric design and conjoined parts. It also features a beautiful stained glass apse and impressive exterior details.

Throughout the years, the Heska Amuna Synagogue has been a significant center of Jewish culture and life in Knoxville, welcoming numerous Jewish families, including Eastern European immigrants and those from different parts of the United States.
