Palacio de Congresos de Oviedo (Exhibition and Congress Center) is an absolutely unique building in the city, consisting of three exhibition floors. It houses a main hall (2,300 square meters), a meeting room with capacity of 217 people, a multipurpose room (410 square meters), a 2,144 seat auditorium, and is covered by a impressive white steel dome, 45 meters high. The Congress Center is surrounded by an U-form structure, this is reserved for hotels and state offices. The official opening ceremony took place in May, 2011.
