Plaza de los Héroes (Heroes' Square), Asuncion
Heroes' Square is Asuncion's main square and is home to a number of specialty shops that sell regional and local merchandise. Visit the calle Palma, located just west of the square, to purchase traditional handicrafts, which make fabulous souvenirs and gifts. In addition to having an array of fabulous stores, Heroes' Square also boasts the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a lovely water garden.
