St. David's Roman Catholic Priory, Swansea
Known to be the oldest of its kind in Swansea, Saint David's Roman Catholic Priory was founded by father Charles Kavanagh in 1847. Since then, the church was extended but it was not quiet enough and people had to come from distant places to say their prayers. Thus a daughter church was built, St. Joseph’s church. St David’s became a Missionary Priory in 1873.
