Built in the year of 1994 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sultan’s reign, it is the largest mosque in Brunei and it is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture. The mosque features 29 golden domes, representing the 29th Sultan of Brunei (the current Sultan). The interior is incredibly opulent, featuring Carrara marble from Italy and crystal chandeliers from Austria.
