Edit: This post was written before the new, violent protests in Belgrade took place – and continue to do so. This only reflects my experience as a tourist in the beginning of may and has nothing to do with political views. I also condemn violence and hope the people of Belgrade (and the rest of the world) get to be free. Always check countries before traveling for safety reasons and political tensions.

AdvertisementTurns out I’ve got more to say when I’m traveling. Luckily I just came back from Serbia (and Greece, but that’s for another day.) So what did we think about the capital? What did we do? And the most important part, how much did it cost? Well, look no further cause I will gladly take you with us.

So, we flew from Düsseldorf to Belgrade, from there to Thessaloniki and then back to Düsseldorf. So I can’t tell you the price for a round trip but our flight to Belgrade with Air Serbia cost us 112€. We departed Saturday morning and left Tuesday noon, so we had about three days. Which was the perfect amount of time actually. I was also positively surprised by Air Serbia. The plane was kind of small (2 by 2) but the crew was nice, they were on time and you even get a small snack and free water. Also, you were able to bring a carry on and personal item even in economy light, so that was quite nice!
