Aldus Chapin Higgins House, Worcester
Higgins House, one of Worcester's remarkable historic treasures, was built in 1923 by Aldus Chapin Higgins, a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). It was designed by Grosvenor Atterbury in the Tudor Revival style. Higgins's wife, May, willed the house to WPI and now it serves as headquarters for the Office of Alumni Relations, housing different alumni events. The house is adorned with a typical English garden and looks like an imitation of the Compton Wynyates Castle in Warwickshire, England. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
