Altınkoy Open Air Museum, Ankara

Altınköy Open Air Museum, situated in the Altındağ district of Ankara, is a testament to the challenges faced by modern cities and the gradual extinction of rural areas, which has become one of the significant issues of the 21st century. The museum, built by Altındağ Municipality on a vast 500-acre land, portrays the village architecture, culture, and traditions of the 1930s-1950s era.

The museum represents an authentic village setting complete with a coffee house, town hall, barns, gardens, and traditional Turkish village houses. In addition to being visually impressive, the museum also provides educational and informative experiences with a range of activities within the village. Visitors can witness the production and manufacturing process of natural and organic products that are available for sale in the village. Other notable structures in the village include the mosque, suspension bridge, school, grocery store, mill, houses, and streets.
