Aqua Vega Aquarium, Ankara

Aqua Vega is a public aquarium situated within the Nata Vega Outlet, boasting Europe's second-largest and Turkey's largest tunnel aquarium. This aquatic facility was inaugurated on April 23, 2012, and offers visitors a diverse array of aquatic experiences, including freshwater and seawater displays, as well as an exhibition featuring thirty different reptile species. Additionally, visitors can explore a salt cave exhibit, inspired by the famous salt cave in Çankırı.

Aqua Vega is a two-story establishment. On the first floor, you'll find various attractions such as the adrenaline world, a cafe, a souvenir shop, the salt cave exhibit, a diving school, a pet shop, the ticket counter, a photo shooting area, numerous aquarium displays, a koi fish area, a seashell museum, and an aquarium-themed restaurant.

Moving up to the second floor, you'll encounter the tunnel aquarium, an amphitheater, an aqua cafe, and a touch pool. Notably, the tunnel aquarium, inclusive of the largest tank, holds a whopping 3.5 million liters of water, and it takes 15 days to fill this colossal tank to capacity. The local fish featured in the aquarium were sourced from a fish facility in Edremit, Altınoluk, Balıkesir, owned by the facility operator.

Aqua Vega also offers a diving school within the expansive aquarium tank, where private instructors are available to provide diving training to individuals aged 14 and above, provided they have no underlying health issues.

Moreover, there is a special section dedicated to koi fish, where visitors have the opportunity to feed these captivating aquatic creatures.
