ArtWorks Gallery, Cincinnati
ArtWorks Gallery isn’t your typical white-wall exhibition space-it’s the whole city of Cincinnati. This award-winning nonprofit has been transforming Greater Cincinnati into a dynamic, open-air gallery for over 27 years, blending artistry, community, and opportunity in one bold brushstroke.
At the heart of ArtWorks is a Public Art program that not only brings innovative art to the streets but also creates meaningful jobs for local youth and professional artists. Think 300+ permanent outdoor murals, 14,000+ public and private art projects, and an urban landscape alive with color, storytelling, and social connection.
ArtWorks has trained and employed over 3,500 professional artists and 4,000 youth apprentices between the ages of 14 and 24. By pairing seasoned artists with young creatives, the program becomes more than a job-it’s mentorship, skill-building, and a pathway to creative careers in the 21st century economy.
Community-driven and collaboration-focused, ArtWorks partners with everyone from neighborhood groups to local governments and businesses. The result? Projects that aren’t just beautiful-they’re rooted in place, powered by people, and a key reason why Cincinnati continues to rise as a global arts destination.
In short: ArtWorks isn’t just painting murals-it’s painting futures.
