Douglas Fluhrer Park, Kingston

Douglas Fluhrer Park is located along the banks of the Cataraqui River where you can enjoy picturesque views of the water and the city. There is also an important monument at the park, which is dedicated to the Irish Laborers who died during the construction of the Rideau Canal Waterway. The monument is of a Celtic Cross. The government of Ireland and the Kingston Irish Folk Club provided the funds to build the cross.
