Galeria Luisa Strina, situated in São Paulo, is an esteemed art gallery that was established by the renowned art collector, Luisa Malzone Strina. Being the oldest contemporary art gallery in Brazil, it holds a significant position in the art world.

Since its inception in 1974, the gallery has played host to numerous exhibitions, starting with its inaugural exhibition in the same year. This remarkable event featured the works of talented artists like Carlos Fajardo, Edo Rocha, José de Moura Resende Filho, Luiz Paulo Baravelli, Nelson Leirner, Rubens Gerchman, Santuza Andrade, and Wesley Duke Lee.

An impressive milestone in the history of Galeria Luisa Strina was achieved in 1992 when it became the first Latin American gallery to receive an invitation to participate in the renowned Art Basel, held in Basel, Switzerland.

During the 1990s, the gallery expanded its focus to collaborate with notable Brazilian artists, including Alexandre da Cunha, Fernanda Gomes, and Marcos Reis Peixoto (known as Marepe). These artists brought their unique perspectives and creative expressions to the gallery's repertoire.

Presently, Galeria Luisa Strina represents a diverse roster of 40 artists, including renowned names such as Leonor Antunes, Olafur Eliasson, Fernanda Gomes, Alfredo Jaar, Renata Lucas, and Cildo Meireles. With its rich history and continued dedication to contemporary art, the gallery remains a pillar of the Brazilian art scene.
