Iglesia La Candelaria, Caracas

Dating back to 1760, Iglesia La Candelaria is dedicated to José Gregorio Hernández, whose statue is inside the church. Here you will learn the story of Hernández's life and death, as well as about the many wonders attributed to him. Part of the building is a modern replica, but be sure to visit the authentic parts of the church that retain the original interior.
