Itaú Cultural is a non-profit cultural institute based in Brazil and owned by Itaú Unibanco. Founded by Olavo Egydio Setúbal, its primary objective is to document artistic expressions and support artistic research and production across various cultural domains.

One of the institute's prominent initiatives is the Rumos program, which focuses on cultural research and catalogs artistic manifestations in areas such as visual arts, film, dance, literature, theater, and music. Additionally, Itaú Cultural organizes the Emoção Artificial Biennial of Art and Technology and maintains the Enciclopédia Itaú Cultural, an online encyclopedia.

Originally established in 1987 as the Center of Computer Science and Culture (Centro de Informática e Cultura), Itaú Cultural Institute officially opened its doors to the public on October 5, 1989. Notably, it introduced a groundbreaking electronic database accessible to visitors, a pioneering feature in Latin America.

In 1997, the institute launched the inaugural edition of the Rumos program. A year later, it adopted the name Instituto Itaú Cultural. As part of its offerings, the institute hosts two permanent exhibitions. The Brasiliana exhibition showcases paintings, drawings, engravings, maps, and documents depicting Brazil's history from the arrival of the colonists.

Another exhibition called Numismática displays gold coins and bars dating back to the Portuguese rule in Brazil and spanning to the present day. Visitors can also explore a collection of 300 engravings on one of the floors, featuring Brazil's rich flora and fauna.
