Marschiertor (Marching Gate), Aachen

Marching Gate or Marschiertor represents another valuable and prominent landmark of Aachen. This historic construction is a Medieval gate built in the 13th century; it was one of eleven gates in the former city wall. Originally it had a second gate in front of it, but it has been destroyed. Marching Gate is one of the only two Medieval gates preserved until today.
