Mercado de Artesanias El Parazal (El Parazal Craft Market), Acapulco

Mercado de Artesanias El Parazal (El Parazal Craft Market), Acapulco

El Parazal Craft Market is one of Acapulco’s oldest and most storied artisan markets. Over time it became a traditional destination where visitors can sample the city’s artisan spirit through leather goods, wood crafts, decorative items, and wearable art.

Walking through its corridors, you’ll encounter vendors offering handcrafted leather pieces, wood carvings, hats, shoes, shell-based home decor, and more. Many of the artisans who set up shop here travel from different regions of Mexico, bringing a broader variety of styles and regional techniques.

Because of its history and popularity, the market is also a place where bargaining is expected. Browsing takes time — some visitors spend around 45 minutes to an hour exploring its stalls.
