Monument to San Martin, Mar del Plata

Placed in the middle of the plaza San Martin, the statue is dedicated to General José de San Martín. The monument represents the famous hero, dressed in a mantle and standing against the wind. Jose de San Martin was a remarkable general who participated in different battles, wrote impressive historical books and had one of the most significant military careers during that period. The statue stands on a high stone pedestal with an inscription in front of it.
