Musee Vouland, Avignon

Established as a museum in 1982, Musee Vouland became a favorite place for art lovers. Located in the gorgeous Villeneuve-Esclapon residence, it preserves a luxurious collection of decorative art, acquired by local industrialist Louis Vouland throughout his life. Many statues stand in the mansion's garden, which can be seen as you enter. A relatively large space, it houses a meeting room, activity room, cinema and rooms for hosting workshops. As well, symposiums, concerts, conferences and temporary exhibitions are held here. Among its extensive collection are tapestries, paintings, daily fine China, old silver plates, furniture, ceramics and more.
