Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Youngstown

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, built in the Palladian style, caters to Youngstown’s Italian-American community. Established in 1908 and built in 1916, in 1923 all but its organ was destroyed by fire. Restored and reopened in 1963, a beautiful shrine garden was added in 1971. In 1990 an impressive ten foot statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which overlooks the city, was added, as well a tower 2001.
