Plaza Los Dolores (Dolores Square), Tegucigalpa

Dolores Square is a well-known tourist spot and a symbol of Honduras. The square was remodeled in 2014, blending modern touches with the surrounding colonial architecture of Tegucigalpa. A key attraction of Dolores Square is the church of the same name, which is considered a national monument.

The renovation also added a beautiful illuminated fountain with 16 jets and a statue of St. Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of Tegucigalpa. It’s a public space where you can enjoy walking with your family, explore the city, and appreciate a bit of its history.
