
Statue of Michel Paccard, Chamonix (must see)
Michel Gabriel Paccard, born in Chamonix, was a doctor and mountain climber. Located in the center of town, his statue is an historical landmark. Dedicated to his ascent of Mont Blanc with his partner Jaque Balmat in 1786, it was a memorable achievement in the history of mountaineering.
