Virginia Science Marine Museum and Aquarium, Virginia Beach (must see)
The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Museum is a fascinating place to learn more about the marine life of the region. Its exhibits are spread across two main buildings known as the Bay and Ocean Pavilion and the Marsh Pavilion. The Bay and Ocean Pavilion houses the Norfolk Canyon aquarium, which beautifully replicates the local deep sea environment including sharks, stingrays and many other creatures. The Marsh Pavilion features otters, seahorses, snakes and many other marsh creatures. The two pavilions are connected by a fun nature trail that runs alongside Owls Creek Salt Marsh.
