World Trade Center, Malmo

World Trade Center, Malmo

The World Trade Center in Malmö is located in the modern district of Västra Hamnen, near the iconic Turning Torso. Though the building stands at just 11 floors, it is the second tallest in this vibrant part of the city. It is the third World Trade Center in Sweden, showcasing energy-efficient technology with double glass fronts for optimal insulation. A second, lower building was later added, built with the same environmentally conscious approach.

The WTC complex consists of three office buildings offering a wide range of amenities such as restaurants, conference centers, a gym, banks, and shops. Around 200 companies are housed within the center, employing roughly 1,900 people. The WTC offers flexible office spaces, ranging from coworking environments to larger offices spanning thousands of square meters. Tenants also benefit from various services, including conferencing support, reception, and administrative assistance.

Västra Hamnen, the district in which the WTC is located, is known for its sustainable design, with energy-efficient buildings, green spaces, and locally produced energy. This district has become an attractive location for both businesses and residents, further supported by the growing number of companies and Malmö University students in the area.

The Malmö WTC is part of a global network of World Trade Centers aimed at fostering international business exchange and trade, a vision first realized in 1970. Today, more than 300 WTCs exist worldwide, forming a significant part of the global trade infrastructure.
