Zen Center - Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz

The Santa Cruz Zen Center was founded in 1971 with the help of Kobun Chino-Roshi and his students. The current Abbot, Katherine Thanas, trained the members for more than 20 years at the San Francisco Zen Center. The Center is maintained thanks to the financial support of volunteers, members and friends. The purpose of Santa Cruz Zen Center is to bear truth about the teachings of the Buddha. They also have meditations, classes and lectures for every family.
