Zorile, Chisinau

Zorile is a commercial complex built around the legacy of the Zorile shoe factory, established in 1945. Rather than removing the former industrial structures, later redevelopment incorporated parts of the old factory into a larger mixed-use complex that now includes shopping areas, ZTower and Zity Office. This reuse preserves a visible connection between the site’s manufacturing past and its newer commercial role.

The complex is closely associated with “Din Inimă” (“From the Heart”), an initiative promoting Moldovan clothing, footwear and textile brands. Visitors can find locally designed products alongside other shops, cafés and restaurants. One distinctive section is arranged like a European shopping boulevard, with decorative façades, street lamps and an open pedestrian-style layout.

Entertainment extends beyond retail, with a roller-skating rink, children’s play areas and VR activities. A large summer terrace provides space for outdoor dining during warmer months. Alunelul Park is also nearby, giving visitors the option to combine shopping or a meal with a walk through the surrounding green space.
