Chances are when people think about travel to Taiwan they plan on visiting Taipei. Being the capital of Taiwan and a major city, it’s often the only place people have heard of. No surprise then that it’s the most popular destination for tourists to this Asian island. Which makes sense since the city of Taipei has so much for going for it.

As the last stop on my visit to Taiwan, I can safely say that this city is totally worth visiting. Sure there are more places to visit in Taiwan but as a starting point or city break getaway, Taipei totally works. You’ll find plenty to see, do and experience and should come away from your trip with a newfound appreciation for Taiwanese culture. So, if you plan to visit Taipei soon, here are my simple tips to make the most of your time visiting Taipei.

One things that’s important to understand is that Taipei is a huge city. I mean, it’s a major modern metropolis like Kaohsiung, meaning there’s just a huge amount to see.
