A Day at Cambridge: Scenic Town of Scientific Breakthroughs, Cambridge, England
Cambridge is one of my top favourite day-tripping places in England mainly because it’s such a picturesque city. The quaint and lovely River Cam, as well as the impressive architecture of the world-renowned University of Cambridge, all add so much to the charm of the place. Furthermore, dotted around the city are plaques marking significant historical facts and events, including those about scientific breakthroughs that have now impacted our lives. And because you are only about an hour’s direct train ride from London, it makes an easy day trip to Cambridge! The key attractions include St John’s College, Trinity College, King’s College and the Wren Library, to list a few.
