Monaco in a Day: Glamour, Views, and the Essence of Luxury, Monaco, Monaco

As a solo traveler determined to visit every country on the planet, there’s something uniquely rewarding about exploring the smallest countries in the world. Of Europe’s 10 tiniest nations, I’ve already checked off Vatican City (the world’s smallest), Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. That leaves only San Marino and Kosovo as the remaining gems on my list. There’s a unique charm to these tiny nations, but getting to them often involves navigating tricky logistics. It can take careful planning, determination, and—let’s be honest—a bit of money. However, the sense of accomplishment and the stories I take back with me make it all undeniably worth it.

While I was in Barcelona, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit two of these dazzling microstates that had long been on my list. Andorra & Monaco. A separate post about Andorra is already up HERE. As I returned from Andorra, the next logical path was to head to Monaco. And for that, I mapped out a route through France, a country I had adored ever since my first visit to Paris and Champagne. This time, my journey was to take me through the vibrant city of Niçé, tucked along the stunning French Riviera. Additionally with Cannes just a quick train ride away, it felt only natural to add it to my itinerary. What unfolded was a four-day working holiday that seamlessly blended productivity, exploration, and unforgettable moments.
