Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Dayton

Established by Dayton’s early Greek immigrant families in the early 20th century, the church has grown into a thriving community of over 1,300 members. The church features a commanding Byzantine-style dome, a smaller tower dome, and richly adorned interiors with chandeliers, icons, and stained-glass windows.

Beyond worship, the church is a cultural beacon. It hosts classes in Greek language and history, supports youth programs like GOYA, and collaborates with other Orthodox and civic organizations in Dayton. The annual Greek Festival, which began as a humble picnic in the 1930s, now draws thousands with traditional food, music, and dancing.
