The Ars Electronica Center is a captivating destination where art, technology, and society converge. Known as the “Museum of the Future,” it offers visitors an inspiring journey into the cutting-edge realms of artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, and virtual reality. Situated along the scenic Danube River, its striking glass architecture not only reflects the city’s innovative spirit but also transforms into a vibrant play of lights at night-an experience in itself.

Inside, the center invites guests of all ages to engage with hands-on installations, immersive exhibits, and thought-provoking displays that explore the possibilities and ethical questions of our technological future. A major highlight is the Deep Space 8K, a one-of-a-kind projection space where ultra-high-resolution imagery and 3D animations transport you across galaxies, deep into oceans, or even inside the human body. For younger visitors, the Kids’ Research Laboratory (ages 4–8) offers an exciting opportunity to tinker, create music, draw, program, and experiment, sparking curiosity from an early age.

Beyond its permanent exhibits, the Ars Electronica Center serves as the heart of Linz’s designation as a UNESCO City of Media Arts and the hub of the annual Ars Electronica Festival. Each September, artists, researchers, and innovators from around the globe gather here to present visionary media art and groundbreaking ideas.
