Beach View Park, Karachi

Beach View Park, also known as Beach Park, is a seaside public park overlooking the Arabian Sea. Developed as part of efforts to improve the waterfront, it provides landscaped green space where residents and visitors can enjoy sea breezes and coastal views.

The park is particularly popular with families, walkers, joggers, cyclists, and photographers, especially during the cooler morning and evening hours. The park features landscaped gardens, paved walking and cycling paths, shaded gazebos, and broad lawns used for picnics and outdoor recreation. More than 500 coconut palms and thousands of seasonal flowering plants contribute to the landscape, while benches along the seawall provide places to relax and observe the coast. Decorative fountains illuminate parts of the grounds after sunset. The park’s position near shopping, restaurants, cafés, and other attractions also makes it convenient for visitors exploring the surrounding waterfront area. Throughout the year, Beach View Park supports community activities, recreation, and cultural events. It was known for hosting the annual Karachi Eat Festival before the event moved to nearby Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim Park for its 2026 edition.

The park has also been selected as the future location of the Karachi Museum of History, a three-acre interactive museum being developed through cooperation between the Sindh government, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, and The Citizens Archive of Pakistan. Until that project is completed, visitors can continue using the lawns, paths, seating areas, and waterfront spaces for everyday recreation and views across the Arabian Sea.
