Eventually, in 1993, the garden became an integral part of the museum.

The Bergamo Botanical Garden "Lorenzo Rota" houses over 900 plant species categorized into 23 collections. Notable collections include the Alpine Collection, showcasing alpine plants such as Rhododendron hirsutum and Primula auricula, the Lombardy Collection highlighting the diverse flora of the region, and the Exotic Species Collection featuring plants like Grevillea rosmarinifolia and Raphiolepis indica.
