Bogyoke Aung San Museum, Yangon
The Bogyoke Aung San Museum is dedicated to General Aung San, the founder of modern Myanmar. This two-story colonial-era villa, built in 1921, was Aung San's last residence before his assassination in July 1947. It also served as the childhood home of his daughter, Aung San Suu Kyi.
Established in 1962, the museum offers a glimpse into Gen. Aung San's life through various exhibits, including clothing, books, furniture, family photos, and his car. It complements the Bogyoke Aung San Residence Museum in Natmauk, which focuses on his early life and family memorabilia. The Bogyoke Aung San Museum is also listed on the Yangon City Heritage List.
