The two-acre wooded Orson Hyde Memorial Park, situated on the Brigham Young University Mormon Jerusalem Campus, offers free entry and is known for its panoramic views of the Kidron Valley and the Old City. Named in honor of Orson Hyde, a prominent member of the Mormon Church who journeyed to the Holy Land in the late 19th century, the park provides a serene contrast to the bustling tourist activity at nearby Gethsemane, just a few hundred feet away. With its native plants, winding stone walkways, and ample benches and quiet areas for prayer and contemplation, it's an ideal destination for a peaceful daytime visit.
