Castelul Stirbey (The Stirbey Castle), Sinaia

Stirbey Castle, once the summer retreat of Alina Stirbey and General Emanuel Florescu, is a historic landmark. Constructed upon the request of Barbu Bibescu-Stirbey's daughter, this architectural gem is credited as the oldest civil building in the city. Designed by Dutch architect Josef Jacob Schieffleers, the castle encapsulates the tales of its illustrious inhabitants, preserving their secrets, betrayals, and romances within its walls.

Today, Stirbey Castle serves as the home of the Sinaia City Museum, boasting 13 thematic rooms that offer visitors a glimpse into the city's mysteries.
