It's estimated that Chiesa di Ss. Trinità alla Magione was founded between the years 1190 and 1193 at the initiative of Matthew Aielo. According to some scholars, Chiesa di Ss. Trinità alla Magione was the last of the Magione churches built during the Norman Hauteville Dynasty.
