Church Street stands as one of Blackpool’s central arteries-linking its seafront charm with its inner-city energy. Beginning at the Central Promenade near Festival House (home to the seaside Wedding Chapel), the street stretches eastward past iconic landmarks like The Grand Theatre, the Winter Gardens, and a range of high-street names such as Marks & Spencer, eventually reaching the junction of Devonshire Road and Whitegate Drive.

Historically, Church Street evolved from what was once called "Lane Ends" in the 18th century-a path that brought early visitors into Blackpool. By the 1860s, the area was already seeing significant development, including the construction of buildings opposite Saint John’s School.
